Liberté
The Libertè system is very versatile. Its extremely flexible structure makes it easily adaptable even to the needs of the most demanding customers.

Alfi has conceived the Liberté System on three concepts:
- Use of new technology
- Userfriendliness
- Highest level of performance
The Libertè system is very versatile. Its extremely flexible structure makes it easily adaptable even to the needs of the most demanding customers.
The Libertè system includes:
- Single and Double turnstile
- Reading antennas
- Proximity reading devices (optional)
- Optical readers (optional)
- Ability to fully operate off line
- Embedded computer
- Robust stainless steel structures
- Pneumatic adjustable height
- ISO 15693 RFId technology
Double turnstile
- The Liberté system is available in two versions: single turnstile and double turnstile
- The advantage of having a double gate in lieu of a single gate is quite easy: reduced size and more competitive prices
- Ability to adjust the configuration of the turnstile to the user’s needs.
- The turnstile may include one, two or three arms depending on particular needs.
AReading antennas
- The antenna is the most critical part and the component around which the free hands system is based upon.
- We refer to the stability of an antenna with its insensibility to the weather conditions (cold and warm temperature, rainfalls, snowfalls, sunlight ...)
Therefore a stable antenna is able to read a chip at a significant distance regardless of the severity on the surrounding weather conditions.
- The antenna Alfi Libertè have been developed during several years of R&D effort; they offer both a high gain and an automatic stability control to ensure excellent reading performance under every condition.
Proximity reading devices
- The readers of the Liberté system features proximity reading.
- In all applications where the reading distance is not significantly long the micro-readers allow the use of less expensive transponder technology.
- It is possible to include on the same piece of equipment technologies compliant to two different standards (i.e. high frequency high distance and low frequency lower distance (proximity) or vice versa).
Optical readers (optional)
- Alfi has developed the world first barcode-based commercially available ski pass system.
- The new Leo 800 optical reader, installed on the Libertè system, ensure top reading reliability and require very limited room to accommodate them.
- A proprietary ticket counterfeit system owner is installed on every reader
- Single runs are checked and invalidated in a visible way.
Embedded computer
- Ability to operate and maintain all functionalities off line..
- The system embeds a computer responsible to run all operations of the Liberté system.
- No connections to external computers or intelligence is necessary in order to operate the system nor for data collection.
- The computer of the Liberté system is equipped with a color screen that may be used as user interface too.
- The display automatically adjust itself to external lighting conditions to allow excellent visibility under all weather conditions.
As the ticket is detected the following intuitive symbols are displayed:
- Green arrows: regular ticket
- Red shovel: irregular ticket
- Irregular tickets are signaled by a loud message so that the operator can easily hear it
- All information that the operator may need are also displayed (e.g. expired ticket, residual points, date, time, ...)
- Light signals are given by ultra automotive high power LEDs, the only devices that ensure good visibility even in presence of bright sunlight.
- Acoustic signals may be choosen from a limitless range; in addition they may be fully adjustable and adapted to the different type of users.
- The use of vocal messages, recorded by the operator, is a new feature; it is very useful for some types of tickets (e.g. signal to stop at the box office before the last run of a point-based ticket).
- A computer embedded in every system located at every gate, is able to store all lap-specific information up to a million laps.
- Every information stored by the system is also stored on a non volatile SD (Secure Digital) memory card, placed on every piece of equipment
Robust stainless steel structures
- The Liberté system is stainless steel made partially painted to ensure robustness and the longest lasting standing.
- A pneumatic spring maked the height of the turnstile structure adjustable, so that it can easily adapted to the different level of snow.
- The height of the antenna may also be adjusted to ensure optimal detection performance.
ISO 15693 RFId Technology
- The system is compatible with all ISO 15693 tags which may be purchased from most card manufacturers.
